Foreclosure filings in Ventura County ticked up slightly in March from the past month, market researcher RealtyTrac reported Wednesday.
The filings, however, remained down from a year earlier and appeared to be continuing on the decline seen in the past several months.
There were 255 foreclosure filings in the county last month, down 7.6 percent from 276 in March 2013, according to the Irvine-based real estate research firm. That total comprised 127 default notices, 81 scheduled auctions, 38 bank repossessions and nine notices of pending claims on properties.
