VCCDC to Host its 12th Annual Virtual Homeownership Conference

VCCDC is hosting its 12th Annual Homeownership Virtual Conference on Saturday, June 22nd, with presenting sponsor U.S. Bank. The “A New Way Home” conference, will provide families in Ventura County and across Central and Southern California with hope for the future and give them the best guidance and practical tools to help them achieve their dream of owning or staying in their own home. As a multi-county non-profit organization VCCDC, will provide resources available in the counties of Ventura, Kern, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles as well as resources that can be used state-wide.

“As high home prices linger and interest rates continue to rise, homeownership has become increasingly difficult for low- and moderate-income families to achieve. As a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering families through financial education and homeownership, our goal for the virtual homeownership conference is to provide each attendee with the most up to date information, tools and resources to make homeownership happen.” says Bertha Garcia, VCCDC Executive Director.

The event’s emcee, David Cruz, broadcast network journalist and commentator, will kick-off the event on the mainstage with various guest speakers including Jerrold Mayer representing the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and one of VCCDC’s newest homeowners, who will highlight their homeownership story and how they were able to make their dream of owning a home a reality in this difficult market.

Attendees will have the opportunity to access the following free of charge:

  • Access information about programs offering more than $100,000 in down-payment assistance

  • Attend workshops on the latest homebuying topics like credit and down payment assistance

  • Attend a panel with experts who will discuss programs that can help homeownership possible
